ACT would like your input on motorhome tourism. Responding to the increasing numbers of motorhome users in the area, the shortage of facilities for them and the number that are parking in Arisaig overnight, we are looking at the viability of creating an overnight parking area, called an Aire.
Users would have access to rubbish disposal, grey and black water disposal, fresh water and a basic hardstanding. This facility would be aimed at self-contained vehicles initially (i.e. with their own toilet), would be restricted to 2 nights max and there would be a charge for the facility. The target market are those unlikely to use traditional campsites.

*Community Shares are a way for individuals to invest in a new or existing business by buying shares. In turn, the asset is controlled and governed by the community it serves. It is a way to raise capital funds for a new project that can deliver a small return on the investment in the future. More details on how this works can be found at www.communitysharesscotland.org.uk
